There are a number of so-called "Doomsday Vaults" situated around the world that contain items to sustain human life on earth after an apocalyptic event, or that preserve items that memorialize our existence here. For example, in Norway is a seed vault containing over 1 million varieties of seeds that can be planted after the big one (considering there is any ground that hasn't been contaminated).

Now, according to NEW SCIENCE (June 25, 2022) near the same location a vault containing music is ready to be installed. While it won't go far to feed the planet, it provides a safe haven for music to survive forever. Focus has been on indigenous and world music for now, as the quote above shows good reason to.
