We all know we are much in debt to Mary Shelly for what may be perhaps the greatest contribution to Gothic Horror in the 19th Century, her novel of "Frankenstein". But we must not forget another highly regarded gothic mystery and horror writer, Edgar Allen Poe. Poe's work has equally, if not surpassed Shelly's for the infusion of his work in literature and media. While "Frankenstein" has been adapted uncountable times in films, comics, toys and much more, Poe's work has had it's fair share of the same.
