Here's a rare look at a full-story original art example of a pre-code horror comic. Titled, "Club Horror", it appeared in Canada's Randall Publishers Limited (Superior Comics) first issue of MYSTERIES (WEIRD AND STRANGE), dated May 1953. It would not be long until the Comics Code Authority would shut down the publication of comics with titles and stories like these.
Intended as a companion title to STRANGE MYSTERIES and JOURNEY INTO FEAR, it was produced by the comic "assembly line" of Iger Studio in New York. No script or art credits are known, but it is estimated that art director, Robert Webb had a hand in at least part of it.
The art sold at auction in 2018 for the princely sum of $3,346.00.
And here's the comic in which "Club Horror" appeared.
