It was with an incalculable measure of sadness that I heard the news of Basil Gogos' passing at the age of 68. Mr. Gogos is the second of the Famous Monsters "holy trinity" to leave us, Forrest J Ackerman being the first. Publisher James Warren is the last monster standing at 87 years old.
Thankfully, we have a trove of treasures left behind by the original master of monster magazine covers to last for the ages. You may have him now, Prince Sirki, but we've still got his magnificent work.
