FAREWELL, AGENT 14: NOEL HARRISON (January 29, 1934 - October 19, 2013)

Noel Harrison, most noted for his role as agent Mark Slate in the popular TV series, THE GIRL FROM U.N.C.L.E., and who had a folk hit with The Windmills of Your Yind, passed away on October 19 of this year after suffering a heart attack. He was 79.

Harrison was the son of famous actor Rex Harrison, and always remembered that he was the offspring of a great British actor. Never letting it overshadow him, he went on to a successful acting career of his own, mainly in televisions shows of the 1970s such as: It Takes a Thief, Love, American Style, Mission Impossible, Ironside, Hart to Hart, and The Love Boat. His pop/folk single, The Windmills of Your Mind, was recognizable from the soundtrack of the original THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR, but did not chart. He went on to record about a dozen records, as late as 2010.

Mr Harrison had experienced kidney problems for the last few years and was in failing health. He went out like a true artist, however, by passing away hours after his last performance in Devon, England.
