The premiere Canadian horror 'zine, RUE MORGUE, has a long-running department that goes by the name of Travelogue of Terror. Over the years readers have been treated to many a scary locale, some famous in literature, some in film, and some that have been regarded as just plain spooky.
In issue #56, author Sam Costello takes us to one of the most legendary spots in the world of the fantastic -- H.P. Lovecraft's Providence, Rhode Island!
The article provides narration of a walking tour of the area that Lovecraft himself lived most of his life in and around. It includes stops at some of his dwellings, as well as Brown University where most of the Lovecraft ephemera is housed, and Swan Point Cemetery, where he is interred.
