TERRORS OF TOMORROW: WHAT'S NEW AT FM

Looks like there's some interesting things being cooked up in the cauldron over at FAMOUS MONSTERS. Solicited at both CAPTAIN COMPANY, the FM merchandise web store and the June 2011 issue of Diamond's PREVIEWS are some new and different items.

First, the next issue of FM (#257) is already in the works. By the cover, it will feaure a retrospective of the HEAVY METAL movie.

In July comes an intriguing publication called FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND: THE ANNOTATED #1, It is being promoted as a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the first movie monster periodical. I wonder if there will be any revelations behind the alternate cover that was seen here last week at MONSTER MAGAZINE WORLD?

In August, FM will be releasing their first "art book", THE FAMOUS MONSTERS GALLERY VOL. 1. It appears to be a compendium of various artwork from the various histories of the Warren magazines.

Then, there's a companion magazine for the first IMAGI MOVIES film festival that was recently held in Los Angeles. And, let's not forget the next in the series of "lost" issues of FM with the retro-styled FAMOUS MONSTERS #71. All in all, it's shaping up to to a great summer's worth of monsters!
