Here we have Lon Chaney, Jr. looking dapper and stumping for Schaefer Beer in 1945. Schaefer Lager was first brewed in 1842 and is now owned by Pabst since 1999 after purchasing the brand from Stroh. The flavor is characterized as a "light, classic American lager characterized by a clean, mellow, and slightly sweet taste". It's sold mostly on the east coast. I'll have to try my local Total Wine and see if they happen to carry it.
What Lon wouldn't do for a buck (and probably all the beer he could drink)!
