Here's more of the continuing adventures of Cannon, the Cold War secret agent created by Wallace Wood and first printed as a comic strip in the military newspaper OVERSEAS WEEKLY. It was later reprinted by Eros Comix.
"Got to get out of here... fast! No time to get dressed..." LOL!
I'm certainly not complaining, but by this point, it's like Wood gave up any pretenses that this was an "adventure" strip and just started chucking boobs at the reader.
And it's great! Thanks for posting these, John! Are there more to come?
Yeah, I'm always looking at these imagining the reaction of the original target audience-- and obviously, Wood gave 'em exactly what they wanted to see!
OTOH, unlike precursors like Caniff's MALE CALL and England's JANE-- which kept the guys happy during WWII-- this one at least started out with an actual plotline with a male main character.
And again, I'm certainly *not* complaining! Looking forward to the next batch when you get around to it!

Always Madame Toy's machinations. She gave new meaning to the phrase "falling into Communist hands"!
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed! I'm sure her name was no mistake!

You have to remember the target audience -- I'm sure they loved it! I have other posts in queue, but will return to Cannon a little later.
