I used to pass on reading these types of articles, but found that more often than not, I would find at least one helpful tip to use in my own writing. As a result, aspiring horror writers may want to read these that appeared in WRITING MAGAZINE (November 2025) in which the authors discuss using settings in your spooky stories.






I was watching the Bowery Boys / East Side Kids yesterday and their misadventures in "haunted houses", houses usually occupied by criminals or spies. There was one actual ghost in one story though.
ReplyDeleteI always get a kick out the Bowery Boys. I'm a big fan of the Three Stooges, too. Last week on my Jack Pierce site I posted a piece on the Boys in Master Minds. Pierce was the makeup artist on that picture.
