Published from 1963 until 1967, the pulp digest MANHUNT featured a roster of some of the most popular names in crime fiction. Authors included Mickey Spillane, Henry Kane, David Goodis, Evan Hunter (aka Ed McBain), Brett Halliday and others.
It is in this publication where Matt Baker produced the largest number of his pulp illustrations. Shown here is his work from the first three issues. Note that not every image has been conclusively determined to be by Baker (he did not sign any them), but are likely to be his, based on the style he was using at the time and the similarity between them.
