Dwight Frye was an amazing screen actor. He pretty much steals every scene he's in, and he's up against the likes of Lugosi and Clive to boot. His life turned tragic alas, but he's well remembered in these parts.
When they opened the hatch on the Demeter and Renfield was at the bottom staring up and glaring with that hideous laugh, it chilled me to the bone as a young Monster Kid.
