Publisher James Warren became notorious for reprinting and re-packaging his material from previous issues of his titles. Not a bad idea to acquaint new readers with content from years gone by, but for us longtime Warren fans and collectors it became tedious.

The "Batula Fangs Again" painting on the inside front cover also appeared in FAMOUS MONSTERS #120 is unsigned, but credited by numerous sources as by Bruce Pennington. A look at some of his other work makes a compelling argument, but David Horne in his essential Warren sourcebook, GATHERING HORROR, isn't convinced.

"Pursuit of the Vampire" originally appeared in CREEPY #1 and reprinted in EERIE # with the titled lettering changed and Uncle Creepy's introduction replaced with one by Cousin Eerie.

Another Gogos painting of Bela Lugosi as Dracula from the 1970 FAMOUS MONSTERS YEARBOOK is seen on the back cover.
