SKYWALD'S NIGHTMARE NO. 3 (PART 1)

NIGHTMARE
Vol. 1 No.3
April 1971
Skywald Publishing Corporation
Publisher: Sol Brodsky and Israel Waldman

This landmark issue marks the publication of the first story by Alan Hewetson, who would go on to guide the Skywald titles to notable status. Other artists and writers will be familiar, but they had to disguise their identity from Warren who was opposed to allowing other creators to work for the competition. Included is a great one-page pinup by Chic Stone, veteran artist of pre-code horror comics.

  1. Skywald is an unknown territory for me. I've never collected them at all. Why? I don't really know. I do very much enjoy any artwork from Tom Sutton, especially this early stuff. He was an amazing talent.
