Last year one of the monster models that I built was a King Kong Aurora re-issue. I decided to do some customization that I hadn't yet come across from other builders. Upon completion, I sent a few pics of it over to Steve Iverson from Cult TVman. He was kind enough to post it on his blog.

Nice work. I don't have the patience or dexterity for such work. But I do admire those who do have such attributes. Kong looks quite dangerous as you've presented him here.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rip, and yes, they do take a little patience. I hadn't built a plastic kid since I was a teenager and did quite a bit of research before I jumped into it again. For instance, I decided on acrylic paints instead of oils (but I've ended up using both, depending on the application). I amassed quite an inventory of model kits while I was still working (and had the money for them!), so I won't be running out of kits to build for a long while. Stay tuned!
