HORROR AND FANTASY FILM POSTERS OF THE 80'S

This week I found another stack of clippings, these from VARIETY, in my unsorted box of monster ephemera. During the 80's film companies were heavily promoting their films, many of which were European imports. This is a mix of fantasy, science-fiction, sword & sorcery, horror and one for adults only thrown in for good measure.

  1. Fanny Hill has a fantastic poster. Ator movies are so awful they are kind of fun to watch creak around. I used to think Ator was the nadir of barbarian movies, but I've seen much worse ones over the years.

  2. The Ator's weren't too bad, but then again, I'm highly critical of S&S on film, and so far I haven't watched one that I can yet say is definitive. I like the Xtro poster (you may know that the creature effect was done with the actor walking backwards on all fours). I saw it at the theater and still think it is one weird ass movie.
