BEFORE THEY WERE SCREAM QUEENS: BARBARA NICHOLS

Born Barbara Marie Nickerauer, Barbara Nichols was in her early career a showgirl and photo model as featured in this pictorial from MEN (November 1957). Some years later she starred in the science-fiction B-Movie THE HUMAN DUPLICATORS (1965). Also appearing in the film was Richard "Jaws" Kiel and Hugh "Ward Cleaver" Beaumont in his last movie role.

Miss Nichols was in many TV shows of the 1960's, including THE TWILIGHT ZONE, THE GIRL FROM U.N.C.L.E., THE WILD, WILD WEST and BATMAN. She died in 1976 at the age of 47 from liver failure due to car accidents she had been injured in years before.

  2. Rip: Yes, she was also characterized as "brassy", hence the title of the pictorial I presume.

Top Cat James: Man, that's digging deep into TV culture esoterica!
