WEREWOLVES! (PART 1)


This is a special werewolf issue of STARBURST (June, 1981), a Marvel Comics magazine published in the UK by Stan Lee. For the werewolf section, there is a story on THE HOWLING and a retrospective of werewolves in the movies. Other features are on THE MONSTER CLUB, SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, and lots more.

    I'm a big fan of The Howling, though the sequels were rather weak. The first one is a rich horror movie in the classic mode while being of its time as well.

    Agreed. Even Sybil Danning couldn't rescue the sequel. The effects in the first were startling and very realistic. Gave me a bit of a fright when I saw it on the big screen.
