The fabled city of Atlantis has long held the fascination of countless people who have wondered: Did Atlantis exist? Various claims have been made as to where it was located and some have claimed to have actually found it, as in this article from MECHANIX ILLUSTRATED (November 1954), I'll let you decide.
Still the search for Atlantis goes on.
ReplyDeleteThe latest idea that the remains of Atlantis can be found in the African nation of Mauritania, in a location known as The Eye of Africa or The Eye of the Sahara.
There are a few youtube videos that touch on this. I would give the links but hyperlinks are not permitted in the comments, but the videos can be found with a bit of searching on youtube.
I can't say if The Eye of Africa/The Eye of the Sahara is where Atlantis once stood, but the circumstantial evidence offered in the videos is intriguing.
Thanks for that and I hope anyone interested in this fascinating topic will spend a few moments and search that out -- I know I will.
