John Jakes' "The Mirror of Wizardry" is another one of his fantasy adventure tales of Brak the Barbarian. First appearing in Galaxy Publishing's WORLDS OF FANTASY #1 (1968), it was reprinted in PHANTASY DIGEST #2 (1977) and again in the paperback collection of Brak stories, "The Fortunes of Brak" (Dell, 1980). Originally titled, "The Treasure at World's End", Jakes' hero was a popular character during the 60's and 70's when the Sword and Sorcery genre was enjoying a resurgence from its pulp magazine days and is a direct descendant of Robert E. Howard's Conan. Included is Lester del Rey's editorial for the issue. The cover and interior illustrations are by Jack Gaughan.
