This comic strip, created by Arnold Drake (1924-2007) and Win Mortimer (1919-1998), was introduced as a back-up feature in issue #96 of DC's THE FOX AND THE CROW (January 1966). Drake was also co-creator of several other influential DC comics, such as DEADMAN and DOOM PATROL. Bob Oksner (1916-2007) spent most of his career at DC drawing superhero and humor comics, such as THE ADVENTURES OF BOB HOPE, THE MANY LOVES OF DOBIE GILLIS and ANGEL AND THE APE. Tex Blaisdell (1920-1999) is most noted for his work on the LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE comic strip, as well as DC strips GREEN LANTERN, ADAM STRANGE and THE FLASH. As you can see, a lot of talent combined for this humorous monster comic starring a young boy and his monster pal.
