For a 13-year-old runaway from Arkansas, Jeanne Laverne Carmen (1930-2007) made quite a career for herself. Arriving in Hollywood, she modeled for men's magazines, then landed a number of film roles, including co-starring in genre B-movies THE MONSTER OF PIEDRAS BLANCAS (1957) and THE DEVIL'S HAND (1962). Along the way, she befriended and hung out at everything from cocktail parties to orgies with Errol Flynn, Frank Sinatra, The Kennedy's, and her best friend, Marilyn Monre (which has been dubiously refuted by a trio of eccentric Marilyn worshippers). Miss Carmen continued to pose for men's magazines, and she shows up here in a couple of shots for MAN'S BEST (July 1966).
