I always looked forward to a new issue of this mag back in the day. Being a devoted FAMOUS MONSTERS and MAD magazine reader, it combined two of my favorites subjects, horror and humor. Lots of times it included photos that I hadn't seen in FM and the humor was always a clever spoof of the horror genre.
It even included a couple of actual serious text articles in each issue. Here we have features by written by Richard Bojarski (who also contributed to Cal Beck's CASTLE OF FRANKENSTEIN) -- one on Peter Cushing and the other on Karloff and Lugosi's films together.
Also included is a 16-page comic story written by Otto Binder and drawn by Jerry Grandinetti about vampires in the Haight Ashbury (!) entitled, "Vampire Hunt 69".
Although no credit is given other than for writing, Joe Kiernan, who was sometimes-editor of CRACKED, might be the one responsible for the gags in the issue.
