MONSTERS AND HEROES NO. 5 (PART 1)
LARRY IVIE'S MONSTERS AND HEROES
Vol. 1 No. 5July 1969
M & H Publications
Editor and Publisher: Larry Ivie
Pages: 52
Editor and publisher Larry Ivie continues to show his passion for comics, pulps and super heroes with a bias of content in his fifth issue of MONSTERS AND HEROES -- which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Featured in the "Monsters" section of the magazine is "The Creation of Frankenstein", a 19-page, photo-heavy, quite excellent article detailing the production of the film, followed by a kind of "filmbook" of the movie, told in text and stills. Researched by Don Glut, the piece is a good early attempt at putting the great Universal film in a historical cinematic context.
