G-G-GORGO!

Heralded as the "best of its kind since KING KONG", the INDEPENDENT EXHIBITORS FILM BULLETIN of 6 February 1961 ballyhooed the giant monster movie as a theater owner's best bet for ticket sales at the box office.

A few days earlier, on 23 January 1961, a two-page spread appeared in FILM BULLETIN. MGM spared no expense on promoting this exiting action adventure film that starred not one, but two giant monsters!

Again, in the 6 March 1961 FILM BULLETIN, MGM is credited with arranging a free showing of GORGO to a group of orphans at the Fox Theater in Philly.
