CHRISTOPHER LEE WEEK (DAY 2)

Christopher Lee said that, "Fu Manchu is one of the most absorbing characters ever created." He read the antiquated series of books by Sax Rohmer in preparation for his role as the arch-villain, and looked for a modern perspective to apply to his interpretation of the character. Previously played by Warner "Charlie Chan " Oland and Boris Karloff, Lee's portrayal in THE FACE OF FU MANCHU is regarded by many as superior.

Issue #2 and #8 of CASTLE OF FRANKENSTEIN included articles on Lee with an emphasis on his Fu Manchu character.
